Some things get better with age
Passovah is one of them.
You know Noah Bick, that sweet looking kid who gets away with just seeming like another guy in the crowd. If you do, you know that there are many interesting sunday afternoon g-chat sessions to get out of him, and probably years to come of pretty 'wacky' shows too.
Come out this Friday for the 1st anniversary of Passovah Productions at Sala Rossa for an all local night of really good music. But I'll leave it to the Bickster to talk about it a little more:
Noah Bick from Passovah here (wow that sounds generic)
Just wanted to pass on some info in a slightly irregular format. We are throwing our one year anniversary party March 6th at La Sala Rosa. It's been a bit less then a year and the 20 or so shows that we have done have been super fun. Since last February we've worked with bands from all over Canada and parts of the States.
The show on the 6th of March is looking to be pretty fun.
The Lovely Feathers are back after an extended hiatus and a few warm up shows. They've signed to a new record label and are looking to put out a new album this year.
Second on the docket are the Golden Isles. After a ridiculously packed show at our Pop Montreal showcase the boys who used to be known as Crystal Moustache ( yes, they did change their name after all that hoopla. I'm not sure if Golden is the new Crystal but whatever...) are going to bring the party...and hopefully a lot of high school girls.
Finally, Shapes and Sizes (Asthmatic Kitty Records) are pretty much one of our hometown favorite's when it comes to indie rock. As an added bonus, the band seems to be going into the studio before this show, so we can expect some new tunes.
This show is also a way to do some charity. The show is eight bucks but if you bring a canned good it will become a six dollar show for you. I think we will bring the cans to Dans La Rue.
Local poster artists Jack Dylan and Tyler Rauman are going to be selling their stuff at the show.
If you buy a ticket for eight dollars in advance and bring a canned good, we will reimburse you the two dollar difference at the door.
Jack Dylan Made a whole series of posters for this show titled "Famous Canadians"(see posters below). I hope you guys like them and I hope you make it down to the show.
